The holiday swim cup was conceptualized by coaches Zaldy Lara and Paul Pablo.

It was then enacted by the collaboration of three organizations.

The Central Northern Luzon CAR Swimming Coaches Association ( CNLCSCA ) led by Biboy Austrias, The Solid Swimming Coaches Association headed by Ronald Nicdao, and the swim Leaue Philippines under the leadership of Fred Galang Ancheta.

The latter named the event  ”The Holiday Swim Cup” in the true spirit of the holidays The event beneficiaries are the participating coaches.
